May 2002, InterBel Telephone and Lincoln Electric (both Member owned Cooperatives) started Eureka Rural Development Partners (RDP).  The purpose of this new partnership is to drive economic development in the communities being served by the Cooperatives.  The office is staffed by one person who is involved with numerous projects and committees, from small fire houses to building a new High School.  Along with writing community interest minded grants, Eureka RDP provides assistance to small businesses and organizations in writing their own grants as well.

A number of activities being worked on today include:

Pinkham Creek Schoolhouse “building repairs”
Eureka Riverwalk “trail improvements”
Eureka High School “new building”
Small Diameter Wood Sorting Yard “new business”
Creative Arts Center “new/remodel facility”
